These are becoming increasingly popular for many reasons.  Many provide a dramatic change of texture or architectural element in the garden; many also have beautiful and graceful foliage and a dramatic winter presence.  Many of the smaller grass type plants are evergreen and all provide interesting texture and color and just about all are disease and insect free and very long lasting.  Most grow in clumps which increase slowly and can be easily divided.
